Old west actors like John Wayne and Clint Eastwood painted a romantic picture of the American Cowboy, but reality was a little bit different back in the 1800's.

While researching the location of the Mountain Realm story, we came across a little town called Cimarron with a real-life haunted hotel called the St. James.  These places, along with the cattle drive, gives part of the story a Wild West feel.  Indeed, if the grid went down for years, it would be the Wild West all over again.
